Match Play Tournament

The 2012 Match Play Tournament will start in May and run through September with a winner decided before our last event in October. We let the players decide among themselves where to play their matches as long as both players agree.

Each pairing will have approximately 3 weeks to set up and play their next match then must report back to us after the conclusion of the match. Results will be posted on the NCGT webpage as soon as the players inform us of the results. This tournament is not mandatory and does not count for the points leaderboard.

Please make sure you can commit to 5 rounds between the Season Opener (May 1st) and the Season Finale (October 2nd) before you sign up. Matches may not be played during tour events. 

Cost is $15 per player with the pot being split as follows...

Champion - $150
Runner-Up - $70
Semi-Finalists - $30/each
Largest Margin of Victory Bonus - $20*
(based on a field of 20 players) 

* This bonus will go to the player who records the largest margin of victory of all the tournament matches. In the case of a tie, the bonus will go to the player who advances further in the tournament. If there is still a tie after this point, the bonus will be split evenly.
